Daddy

"Daddy. Why do I still call you that? Dad all you've done is left me sad. Like a rock in a hard place because you're my dad. All my anxiety, the highs I need, the lies I plead to just talk to me but you don't. You hide away forgetting the reality that you were never there and never cared. It left me in life so unprepared. You blamed a disease, lived life as you pleased as I got down on my knees begging daddy please. But all I ever got from you was fear. And to believe you're five feet away, probably don't know my sons names but it's ok cause they won't know you. Now you're old as dirt and so is your hurt and the fear that you've shown too. And as I sit here and write this I fight not to cry but I can't even lie I still love you. Now my kids know no fear because I'm always here and I will always go beyond and above you." _Tay
