Death Do Us Part
I look upon one of the two of the empty graves,This used to be the place in which we both laid.
I plant you with the colorful flowers so you might grow,
I don’t know if you can hear me from 8 feet below.
I hate to say that my efforts are wasted since you’re still in this dirt bed,
I was reborn once I can do it again,
I wish I was the one in your place instead.
The roses shrivel and are blackened,
The tears fall from my eyes,
I surely am saddened.
I can only pray that you are risen from the dead,
I’m so maddened that all I see is red.
I didn’t think it was too much of me to ask,
Can we start anew and forget the past?
If fire means rebirth,
Then surely it could raise you from the earth.
I take this water and start to strategize,
Maybe your deteriorating body can be baptized.
So desperately I try to grab this shovel,
But the noise I cause isn’t so subtle.
I can only say these words in my head,
While I look at this gravestone with dread.
“I can only be strengthened by heart,
I can’t pull away from you,
Yet death do us part.”

This Poems Story
I fell in love with someone, but they weren\'t a good person. I admit that I wasn\'t the best either, but I changed through time and I just pray that they become a better person too.
