Death of a god

By Charles

The death of a god is never a easy event. Worshipers plead to deaf ears of the gods they rejected while their prayers fall short just past their lips, turning into naught but a faint whisper of the wind. Silent tears fall, drowned out by the rain and consumed by the earth. It leaves one wondering, is it worth remembering if it only brings pain, or is it more humane to just let the memory slip away. Falling into the crevices of your subconscious.
