Defeat
In the silence of the night, I hear the echoes callOf battles fought and lost, where shadows start to fall
The dreams we held so close, now scattered in the wind
In the heart of darkness, where light begins to dim
Defeat it whispers softly, in the corner of my mind
A tale of broken promises, of hopes left far behind
But in the ashes of our sorrow, a spark begins to glow
For in the depths of defeat, new strength begins to grow
The tears that stain the ground, like rain upon the earth
Nourish seeds of courage, giving rise to new rebirth
Though the pain is deep and raw, it carves a path to grace
In the mirror of our failures, we find a new embrace
Every scar a story, every wound a song
In the tapestry of life, where we all belong
Through the darkest valleys, we find our way to light
in the heart of defeat, we rise to greater heights
No Defeat

Ironically, from the start this was a Hip Hop freestyle, turned into a poem. And I started to fix the lyrics. I was feeling down one evening, and a voice in my mind was telling me softly, No Defeat, No Defeat.
