Do you remember ?
So long ago
In the fall, as I recall.
A night dark with rain,
me feeling your pain.
I drank several beers, to help with my fears.
I felt so alone, when you didn't come home.
When I woke up at dawn, I knew you were gone.
The place where you slept, is where I soon wept.
Do you remember that night?
The one with the fight?
The words with the hate, deciding our fate.
The last night we loved, before push came to shove.
The night that I cried.
The night that you died.
