Endless Sea with No Feelings To Reach

I'm drowning in expectations
Drowning in sorrow

Growing up waiting for the time I could leave the bad memories behind
But, that's not the case
Grown not a kid
Adult not a teen
But, that's not what everyone else sees
People acting like their my friend
only to stab me in the back as time mends

A lie to my face
A word to my back
Grown adults that don't know how to act

People who talk just to bring me down
The humans who drowned in the past
Every day acting like the sun rises for me
But, in the end I'm just an endless sea.

Emotions and memories swimming to set themselves free
Jumping out trying to breath
A pot of emotions bubbling over touching the ceiling

Why can't they see?
Don't they have eyes?
Can't they see I'm burning in the inside?

Eyes like a pit-less hole
Dug beneath the shoe of a soul
A heart that barely beats for anyone.

A sea with cracks as dry as a dessert
A mirror ready to shatter.

I look into my eyes only to see a child in disguise
Shutting the door in my face crawling in a ball that keeps me safe
putting up walls so no one sees
Hiding my true feelings from not only me.
