Every Color

Every color has it’s own way of being
But when they all come together they
They create a new hope
That love can still be found in this crazy world
But there was a time
When the color green was all I could see
It was nothing but mean to me
It filled my heart with jealousy
It filled my heart with envy
It left me without a single friend
Then one day a man
Without a penny to his name
Came up to me and said

You can have all the green in the world
But it won’t keep you
From feeling blue
Because without that red blood of Jesus
You will never find happiness
I know this for sure
Because His blood is the only thing
That is truly pure

For such along time
The color green had made me blind
I just could never get it out of my mind
But it was right then and there
I knew what I had to do
I gave my life to Him
So I could live the way
He would want me to
A life free from all of my greed
A life where I help those who are in need

Because you can have all the green in the world

From feeling blue
Because without that red blood of Jesus
You will never find happiness
I know this for sure
Because His blood is the only thing
That is truly pure
Now I can see every color
I can see all the gifts God gave to me
The one’s I never wanted to receive
But now I’m ready
To unwrap them all
I’m ready to go out
And share the good news
Because with God on my side
I know I can never lose
