Forbidden Love
love is a bittersweet embrace
a melancholy Eden
i close my eyes and see her face
surely a girl to believe in
the eyes are Golden amber spheres
and hair as dark as the night
the world around me disappears
and we ascend into the light
and angel surely she must be
an angel garbed in black
to have a love for a wretch like me
i place my hands upon her back
just beneath her wings
and weep the tears of utter joy
and listen while she sings
a love like this is beautiful
but dangerous as well
for satan once was beautiful too
and so was cast to hell.
