Free Roamer

By A.J.M

Free roaming in the streets of madness.
Free roaming on the roads of madness.
Free roaming within the world of madness.

A hand full of pathetic happiness.
A car filled up with pure sadness,
He drives and drives to the stage of pure madness,
In hopes to find his pure sense of happiness.

A girl walks on the side of the road.
He wonders if she will ever be told.
He stops on the side of the road and gives her a lift.
And as they drive and drive within the world of madness,
The Man leaves the girl at a far end;
Now, she waits again and wonders about her sadden friend
As she still lives in pure madness,
Never understanding the way of the forgotten happiness.

Driving fast.
Going far.
In the vicious car,
Covered in disdain tar,
Filled with madness and sadness.
No stopping around in the towns of false happiness.

For He screams with outrage to fulfill his sadness,
He roams…
He roams…
He roams…
In the world of madness.

This Poems Story

This lyric/narrative poem is something I had wrote about while listening to music, commonly The Passenger by Iggy Pop, and the philosophical idea of how someone must experience pure suffering and pain in order to reach their happiness/enlightenment.
