Friendly was very nice

Sweet and innocent was very charming.
Always laughing and smiling
There was so much adoring
Late nights as smooth words crossed the air
Could be so quick as the change of the hair
Intimate not quite yet
Only hugs and passing glances and secret stares ever since the two met
Wondering why friendly never fell for the charms
Then sadly realizing that friendly was all that friendly ever was
