I was standing in front of myself
Putting on a stupid tie
Trying not to cry
Because somebody I love has left me behind
He’s the one who taught me right from wrong
He made me feel special all day long
He never failed to make my tears go away

I don't know the year
The month or the day

A few months later
There I was standing
In front of myself once again
Putting on that same stupid tie
Because another one I love has left me behind
She always knew what was best for me
The one who could make me see
How this world was meant to be
