God Is Beautiful

I saw God in the sunrise as it rose to meet another day.
It's ascent was picture perfect as the glories it did portray.
I saw God in the frolicking waves rushing towards the shore,
One after the other crashing up form the ocean's grainy floor.

I saw God in the hustling birds of varied color and size.
They scurried to the water's edge hoping to win nature's prize.
I saw God in the creatures of the ocean swept upon the sand.
Creatures that vied for my attention as I filled pocket and hand.

I saw God in the million grains of sand as each step I trod.
The amazing colors and textures again reveal creative God.
I saw God in the clouds forming wondrous shapes as if in play.
Dancing with each other as they rushed and hurried on their way.

I saw God in people walking, running, fishing, and riding the waves.
You know each one by name and what Your plans are for their days.
I saw God again this morning and praised Him for His awesome earth.
He's alive in my heart assuring me that to Him my life is of worth.

I saw God in the sunset as the ball of fire sank quickly in the sky.
I worship Him knowing His Son watches me from His throne on high.
I saw God with sleepy eyes reviewing the glories of His creation.
I know He is the One who gave Jesus as a sacrifice for my salvation.
