Goodbye
There’s a snake slithering around inside of my mind.
It sinks its fangs into every thought making them unkind.
It injects its venom,
And feeds on my insecurity.
The doctors try to kill him but he’s gone down deep inside of me.
Only I can kill him,
Medication’s not enough.
I’m going to kill him,
It’s going to be tough.
I chop off his head
And display it on the wall.
It’s just anxiety now because,
depression no more.
It sinks its fangs into every thought making them unkind.
It injects its venom,
And feeds on my insecurity.
The doctors try to kill him but he’s gone down deep inside of me.
Only I can kill him,
Medication’s not enough.
I’m going to kill him,
It’s going to be tough.
I chop off his head
And display it on the wall.
It’s just anxiety now because,
depression no more.
