GOODLUCK

By Jade

Coming at night in a howling wind while the trees danced,
And shelters housed their dwellers panting from the run,
A tired and worn traveller from afar nesting good fortune.
Eyes and lips uttering no speech,
A guest at night a freightening thought none would trust.
Sleep comes with fear, taking flight with sounds
But with the break of dawn,
When on swift wings the traveller departs,
The sleeper wakes and finds goodluck.
