Granny
I remember the distinct smell of something but you cannot place it
I remember the constant drinking of tea and coffee
I remember the fountain by the little tree in the back yard
And the cigarette in her hands
I remember the shiny trinkets on display
I remember always having some sweet treats
I remember the booth-like kitchen table
Even the family get togethers and huge family pictures
I remember Granny
But she’s no longer there
I remember the constant drinking of tea and coffee
I remember the fountain by the little tree in the back yard
And the cigarette in her hands
I remember the shiny trinkets on display
I remember always having some sweet treats
I remember the booth-like kitchen table
Even the family get togethers and huge family pictures
I remember Granny
But she’s no longer there
This Poems Story
This poem is about my great grandma that passed away in January. I miss her so much and this is in memory of her.
