Half year anniversary mark
As of today it’ll be around half a year
Since I’ve seen you, now my eyes tear
And doubt starts to creep in with fear
Because I still blame myself that you’re gone
Yet it keeps going, my life keeps moving on
I start the day by laying awake at dawn
I wish I had payed more attention
Maybe then I could’ve made a prevention
Now I just wallow in my own condescension
Now I feel so isolated
In a prison in my mind I created
The return of my heart i’ve stipulated
Because really I just want you back
Now souvenirs of you I unpack
I close my eyes, the world goes black
I was overwhelmed,, I fell asleep
Because losing you cut me deep
I’m looking over memories I keep
Now we’ve hit the half year mark
Now on the long journey for you I disembark
Because it’s too late, the sky’s already dark
So now I’m in bed crying alone
Losing you cut deeper than bone
But I’m too scared to call your phone
So I’ll handle this by myself
And put another memory on the shelf
Sometimes I feel grief isn’t worth life itself
Now I’m even missing when we’d fight
Even when I knew you were right
But now you’re gone and I’ve lost sight
Of why I should keep going
But it’s not pain I’m showing
So the pain keeps growing
Since I’ve seen you, now my eyes tear
And doubt starts to creep in with fear
Because I still blame myself that you’re gone
Yet it keeps going, my life keeps moving on
I start the day by laying awake at dawn
I wish I had payed more attention
Maybe then I could’ve made a prevention
Now I just wallow in my own condescension
Now I feel so isolated
In a prison in my mind I created
The return of my heart i’ve stipulated
Because really I just want you back
Now souvenirs of you I unpack
I close my eyes, the world goes black
I was overwhelmed,, I fell asleep
Because losing you cut me deep
I’m looking over memories I keep
Now we’ve hit the half year mark
Now on the long journey for you I disembark
Because it’s too late, the sky’s already dark
So now I’m in bed crying alone
Losing you cut deeper than bone
But I’m too scared to call your phone
So I’ll handle this by myself
And put another memory on the shelf
Sometimes I feel grief isn’t worth life itself
Now I’m even missing when we’d fight
Even when I knew you were right
But now you’re gone and I’ve lost sight
Of why I should keep going
But it’s not pain I’m showing
So the pain keeps growing
