Hard Decisions

What are you to do when your back is against the wall,
And the decision you have to make is one that breaks your heart?

See,
You know you have to do it because there is nothing you can do with this situation,
But just the thought of it leaves your heart aching.

You know this is the only way for them to get better,
But you are trying to keep everybody together.

The short term pain will bring a lot of suffering and rain,
But that long term joy and that person's success has to be worth a little hurt and pain.

So as much as you don't want to,
You have got to do what's best for them,
Not you.

Hold tight to God's unchanging Hand,
And know that things will be better in the end.
