Homeless
Who am I?! To wait and ponder, for love to come and bless my lifeI am no one to ask for love I have nothing no cars or money to give a wife
All my money is spent on words that rhyme and tell of my loveless curse
I have no dollars only tears and pennies that no one wants and pain that hurts
Dressed in rags and worn with dirt a man in shambles I have no worth
On the floor I sleep alone and sad no love for me on the cold hard earth
Though I long for love that I wish was her as I lay in pain and roll in dirt
If I must give I’d give my words they’re all I have they’re all for her
Take my pennies take my words I wrote on side-walks and walls with dirt
And paper found in dumpster trash scribbled out with an inkless pen that has no worth
Who am I?! To ask for love. I’m a beggar, I have no home. I have no love, I am alone
Yet for you I’d give, all I have. Tears and pennies and dirt and rags. For love I’d give. To have a home…

story about a homeless man longing for a woman to love.
Very good topic to write on and you where do dynamic in your word play. In many ways I could imagine and relate. Keep up the great writing
I truly love this, as the poet expresses real life issues hindering not only social acceptance but the awareness that worth is based to individuals in relationships merely upon their monetary value and number of assets not the overwhelming need to have LOVE nor give it and for these reasons alone. sad but that does seem to be the going rate for companionship.
