My Best Man
To the strongest man I’ve ever known
That gave his best to build our home
With hands of steel and a heart of gold
And work and sweat ‘till his bones were old
To the hardest man I’ve ever seen
Kind and sweet while also mean
Not poor but humble though still a king
Our home his castle and mom his queen
As tough as nails and sometimes screws
That dressed for work who’s shoes were boots
Who never cried or showed us pain
For honor and strength, his every aim
To the greatest man I ever met
Who’s heart was love in life and death
And showed me truth in every breath
To the best of men, I love you dad, you are the best!
That gave his best to build our home
With hands of steel and a heart of gold
And work and sweat ‘till his bones were old
To the hardest man I’ve ever seen
Kind and sweet while also mean
Not poor but humble though still a king
Our home his castle and mom his queen
As tough as nails and sometimes screws
That dressed for work who’s shoes were boots
Who never cried or showed us pain
For honor and strength, his every aim
To the greatest man I ever met
Who’s heart was love in life and death
And showed me truth in every breath
To the best of men, I love you dad, you are the best!
