Honest Larks Lie

By Fiza

I roam in the forest
and listen to birds.
Away from the enemies
who want my blood.
Behold, is that a lark,
I heard?
With the day break,
you arrive.
O' melodious singer,
with my beloved's song,
O' messenger.
But is it a deception?
Am I trapped?
For I feel my enemy
behind my back!
Mimicking lark,
you are a liar!
And here melts my heart!
Let it melt.
An arrow pierced my heart,
I felt.
