I Tried to Save You
You were headed over the edge,
Of a slippery slope
And I tried to save you
You were living next, like you had no hope
So, I tried to save you
Right was painted , with explanations
Help was offered, for your salvation
Strength was sent, when you couldn’t cope
You fell far, to the end of your rope
You were given better, you said “nope”
And I still tried to save you
You’ve insisted on walking away from love
