If I Am

If I am to bow my head,
Let it be to the only Sovereign King.
If I am to hear,
Let it be words of the Truth Speaker.
If I am to follow one's commands,
Let it be to the only worthy leader.
If I am to open my heart,
Let it be to that which is good and righteous.
If I am to love,
Let it be to Him who is love.
If I am to speak,
Let it be words reflecting His glory.
If I am to sing,
Let it be songs of praise unto Thee.
If I am to boast,
Let it be of what Christ has done.
If I am to live,
Let my life be He who lives in me.
If my body is to die,
Let its death still bring Him glory.
If my soul is to remain,
Let it remain with He who molded it.
If I am to remain with God on high,
Let me join in everlasting worship.
