I'm Tired

I'm tired of you're love and all of my failed tries.
I'm tired of being happy with all the sad goodbyes.
I'm tired of the memories that leave me with wet eyes.
I'm tired of all the pain inside that comes with all you're lies.
But most of all,
I'm tired of being in love with you and asking myself why.

  3. Philism

  5. Brittney Johnson

Sounds toxic and you should leave this relationship.

  6. Sylvia Ross

This one makes me feel exhausted, the repetition is lovely and the separation seen between each line makes your message more poignant. I feel like you could've knocked off the second "all" being used in the fourth line, as instead of "I'm tired of all the pain inside that comes with all you're lies." it is, "I'm tired of all the pain inside that comes with your lies.". The difference makes it easier to say when you are reading off the poem, and while the original line was all-encompassing it seemed like it needed too much work, especially in a poem that radiates this level of bone deep exhaustion.

This poem his different when you can relate to it to the fullest is sad but poetry and time . . . heal all wounds thank you for writing it

  8. Carah Fury

very 10 things i hate about you. But like Kat Stratford... Iambic Pentameter might help this poem a bit

  9. Caswell Bennett

Your voice sounds true and earnest, but look up "you're" vs. "your."

  10. Jack Carter

This poem conveys a raw and emotional sense of exhaustion and heartache. The repetition of "I'm tired" emphasizes the weight of the feelings, while the vivid imagery of "wet eyes" and "pain inside" speaks to the deep emotional toll of unrequited or toxic love.

Continue diving into the depths of your emotions. Try imagining your emotions as having substance. What texture would it have? What color(s) would it be? What shape would it have? For example; to me, the feeling of loneliness would be like a cold, rushing river meandering across vast empty fields. Doing this has helped me explore my emotions more deeply, and evoke the feelings that I want from my work. Simply a friendly suggestion. Keep up the good work.

  16. Ellen Deems

Very raw expressions, but "your" not "you're". Good luck!

  17. Nova

Good direction. Good end. Good repetition. I would suggest using better descriptors and not just "sad". Let us draw the conclusion that your sad, ourselves. Don't just tell us; Show us.

  18. Tiffany Quanbeck

I hope you're ok, don't give up for every night has a sunrise

  19. Noa F. Hayes

I've read a lot of your work, and there's one thing that is consistent within them all: grammatical errors or spelling errors. I think that's a huge part of why you're poems aren't as appreciated as they could be.
