In The Eyes Of Many, In The Hearts Of None
Many see me, I am in the eyes of many,
For my every thought people throw me a penny.
Such a cruel illusion this is, for I am not really loved, I'm in the hearts of none.
I'm in the hearts of none.
Many stand near me, but the wise avoid and fear me,
For they do not want to become me.
Only the foolish do,
For it is evident and true,
That though I receive attention,
And I am in the eyes of many,
I am in the hearts of none.
Unloved, used and broken, all are words that describe me,
And all are things that the wise never wish to be.
I am in the eyes of many, in the hearts of none.
