It\'s Up To You, What Will You Do
I gave you the choice to pack up and go,
If I wasn't enough, you just had to say so.
I opened the exit and told you to leave,
So I wouldn't sit here and swallow deceit.
But you chose to stay in the house that we made,
Just to look in my face while our history decayed.
I caught you again with the very same lies,
The same cheap excuses, the same fake surprise. You wouldn't just walk, you wanted it all,
You wanted my safety while causing my fall.
It breaks me to know that you looked at my face
And chose to inflict the exact same disgrace.I sit in the quiet and choke on the tears,Replaying the promises made through the years.
My chest is so heavy, my spirit is drained
From trying to love you while trapped in this pain. You see that I'm bleeding, you see that I'm blue,
Yet you look at the damage and do what you do.
So tell me right now what you plan to do,
Is there any real loyalty left inside you?Are you ready to fight to keep us alive,
Or keep doing the things that I cannot survive?
Will you heal all the pieces you shattered apart,Or just keep on breaking my exhausted heart?

these are my real life spoken words about this poem. I tried to give you every chance to be honest with me. I didn’t trap you, I didn’t beg you to stay, and I didn’t pretend everything was fine. I opened the door myself. I told you straight up — if I wasn’t enough, just say it. If you wanted to leave, go. I wasn’t going to force love out of someone who didn’t want to give it.But you stayed. You stayed in the home we built together, looking me in my face while everything between us slowly fell apart. You stayed, not because you were choosing me, but because you wanted the comfort I gave you while still doing the things thatbroke me. You wanted the safety of my love while causing the pain that destroyed it.And the worst part is that you kept repeating the same lies. The same excuses. The same fake shock when I caught you. It wasn’t a mistake — it was a pattern. A choice. A cycle you didn’t want to stop because it benefited you.Meanwhile, I was drowning in the hurt you caused. Sitting alone, replaying promises you made and broke. Carrying the weight of a relationship you kept damaging. My chest heavy. My spirit drained. Loving you felt like bleeding, and you watched it happen without changing a thing. So now I’m asking you directly — what are you going to do? Are you going to fight for us? Are you going to fix what you shattered? Are you going to show loyalty, honesty, andeffort?Or are you going to keep breaking me until there’s nothing left? This is the moment where I stop pretending, stop protectingyour feelings, and stop carrying the whole relationship on my back. This is where I demand the truth — not because I’m weak, but because I finally understand my worth. This is my story. This is my line in the sand. This is me choosing myself.
