Just a Sip

Just a sip, just a sip I say,
to help me make it through the day.
Just a sip, just a sip I need,
I'm no drunk, I'm a rare breed.

A sip in the morning, good start.
A sip in the evening, good heart.
Oh well, be that as it may,
just a sip, just a sip I say.

Leaky faucet with a loud drip,
gone cost me twenty dollars to fix.
Into my pocket to see what I got,
twenty dollars on the dot.

Into the cabinet to have me a sip,
turned the whole bottle up to my lips.
Its empty, there is nothing to pour,
I can live with the faucet, off to the store.
