Letting Go
I knew from the start
it was the wrong thing to do.
I gave you my heart, so easy and free.
All that I wanted,
was for you to love me.
For just a short time we had it all.
I was so sure we would make it,
I wasn't prepared for the fall.
Now it is over, after months of pain.
My heart is still breaking,
but I have nothing to gain.
You're still in my heart,my mind,and my soul.
But you're not in my life,
so I'm letting you know...
I'll always love you and miss your touch.
But I can't go on waiting,
it just hurts to much.
