Love
resides within a dormant place
within our soul
ready to ignite

Along comes a match
and strikes
a flicker, smoke rises
embers crackle and pop
to a rhythm familiar to the soul

So you rise, cautious
as the wind captures your glow
and strips naked
the shadows
only freedom knows
