Love long forgotten

I wish to spend every waking moment with you. Every second of every minute, every minute of every hour, every day of every year, every year of every century. For, as long as I live, you will be the one thing that keeps me moving, the motor in every vehicle, the heart in every human, the spirit in every animal. If you’ll be the heart I'll be the love. If you’ll be the words I'll be the meaning; if you'll be the needle I'll be the thread.

For if you are the poetry I'll be the alluring attraction to its aura. If you’ll be the coffee, I'll be the beautiful sunrise. I wish to read you books of ancient fairy tales when the prince gets the princess, and the love they share lasts forever; However in this fairy tale, mine and yours, the motor in every vehicle will break down. Every human will experience a heart break. Every spirit will leave the animal, every heart was incapable of love, every word had no meaning and the thread was always too frail to stay attached to the needle.

All the beauty in poetry became deceased and you drank the last cup of coffee, to the last sunrise you and I will ever share. I was the cupcake and you were the poison. Although this story was sad, it still happened to end in a blissful manner. For we both have freed ourselves from the wrath of the unfulfilled love. Although they say time can heal even the deepest wounds, time cannot erase the scar. Scars forever give you a permanent reminder of what we can overcome.

Life sometimes throws lemons but for you, life throws blades sharp enough to pierce through even the toughest of hides. Never hate the scars they gave you for I have learned to fall in love with mine. It's beautiful really, from my scars I have learned to grow to try new things and be more accepting. You may call it ugly but I call it Beauty. You may hate them for what they did to you but I love them for what they did to me.

I have grown in my heart, mind, and soul. They left me a new pair of eyes, eyes in which I can see the beauty and even the ugliest of things. Eyes that can see through lies and deceitful intent. These eyes can see the truth behind every lie. These eyes can see the bad in every good human. With these eyes, I can see clouds dripping with clarity, relief rising and swelling in waves, rays from the Sun that give you a brief moment of inner peace. Sands of time overflowing with patience. And an occasional breeze that soothes your soul.

Yes they hurt me but they gave me passion. Passion to write, read, and learn new things. Passion for my heritage and interest in other cultures entirely. To ask questions others are too afraid to ask; I admit growth looks different in every person but to grow is to become more beautiful. Not to be more appealing to the eye or to be more beautiful physically but to be more divine in the mind.

But for now I'll spend every second of every minute, every minute of every hour, every day of every year, every year of every century with the scar that you gave me. As will you with the same scar I left you. And to think we went from strangers, to Lover's, to enemies, and now  something even more distant than strangers.
