MacBeth and the Moor
In CamelotOne sightless day
The Moor walked in on the horizon
The king had sought
Another king in the fray
One that could cure men of poison
A man of means
Could lose his life
Without intervention
A bag of beans
Running rife
Would not rescue tonic tension
The country menace
Who received the Moor
Was the Lord MacBeth
The associate of alchemists
The parish boor
A soul uncouth and garish
And as they spoke of common business
The men joked and bonded
As the duchy donned its cloak
Around Master MacBeth's brokerage
And the cold vengeful matter was pawned
