Moonflower
In a sunflower field there stood only one, that faced to the moon instead of the sun, day in and day out they gleamed and they shined, while the one lonely moonflower gazed at the pines, when the night clambered in and moon shown about, the one lonely moonflower stood up real stout, glittering upon the moon with a gaze, while the rest of the sunflowers all looked away, the moon feeling awestruck and bewildered by this, said to the flower what's the meaning of this? I am but a moon, why do you face me? And when the sun's out why face to the trees? I do not shine as bright as the sun, said the moon, I'm left in the darkness playing the saddest of tunes, but wait said the flower, you are not just a moon, you glitter with light in the darkest of glume, when the night tucks away the brightness of day, you light up the world and I know its ok, you do not shine as bright as the sun, but you fight off the darkness an army of one, so i will not let you stand lonely you see, that's why I will face you and you will face me, I'll stand here with you until the dark fades away, and the sun starts to rise and I turn away, and dream of a moon with heavenly rays, that fights off my darkness and makes me ok, until day turns to night and the night becomes ours, and the moon settles in and gives me the power, to face to the world In the darkest of hours, and we'll never be lonely the moon and moon flower.
