My Funeral Bell
When you left is when I fell
Because without you life’s been hell
Going about life like an empty shell
I sit alone and silently cry
Constantly asking myself why
I never even properly said goodbye
Now I feel alone and lost
I never knew what loss would cost
My heart starts to collect frost
Wanting to reach out but I don’t know how
Thoughts stray to how you might be right now
But i’ll put on a smile like a show that ends in a bow
Because life’s a show that keeps going on
Now i lay in bed till the breaking of dawn
And i can’t escape the fact that you’re gone
If I got you back I still wouldn’t tell
Because I don’t show i’m not doing well
I hear it now, grief rings my funeral bell
Because without you life’s been hell
Going about life like an empty shell
I sit alone and silently cry
Constantly asking myself why
I never even properly said goodbye
Now I feel alone and lost
I never knew what loss would cost
My heart starts to collect frost
Wanting to reach out but I don’t know how
Thoughts stray to how you might be right now
But i’ll put on a smile like a show that ends in a bow
Because life’s a show that keeps going on
Now i lay in bed till the breaking of dawn
And i can’t escape the fact that you’re gone
If I got you back I still wouldn’t tell
Because I don’t show i’m not doing well
I hear it now, grief rings my funeral bell
