Natural Disaster (version 2)

Natural Disaster

We started out as the best of friends
Keeping up with all the latest trends
But then we got a little bit closer
And we found how hard it was
To keep our composure
Because it didn’t take long
Before dishes started to fly
Pictures started to die
And you began to cry
Now you’ve got me
walking on egg shells
Because I don’t won’t my face to become
A part of your finger nails
But you’re gettin faster and faster
Baby you’ve become a natural disaster

Because when the house begins to shake
I know you’re an earthquake
When you’re top begins to blow
I know you’re a volcano
When you’re spinning out of control
Causing me pain
I know you’re a hurricane
And when you cried
I watched you turn into a mudslide
But I just smile and say
Honey you’re looking beautiful
Because I’m a master
At living with a natural disaster

When you were just a friend
We created the perfect blend
With my less than funny jokes
Mixed with your more than clever quotes
My off the wall remarks
Mixed with your out of the park smarts
Made us into a pair
That was more than fair
Because I always had your back
And you always made sure
That I stayed on the right track
But now you’ve got me
Walking on egg shells
Because I don’t won’t my face to become
A part of your finger nails
But you’re getting faster and faster
Baby you’ve become a natural disaster

Because when the house begins to shake
I know you’re an earthquake
When you’re top begins to blow
I know you’re a volcano
When you’re spinning out of control
Causing me pain
I know you’re a hurricane
And when you cried
I watched you turn into a mudslide
But I just smile and say
Honey you look beautiful
Because I’m a master
At living with a natural disaster

That four year long friendship
made for one heck of a field trip
But when we were standing around
In our cap and gown
I knew I was in trouble
Because your laugh was no longer just a laugh
And your smile was no longer just a smile
It was my wake up call
Letting me know
That I wanted us
To be so much more
And I got what I wished for
But now you’ve got me walking on egg shells
Because I don’t won’t my face to become
A part of your finger nails
But you’re getting faster and faster
Baby you’ve become a natural disaster

Because when the house begins to shake
I know you’re an earthquake
When you’re top begins to blow
I know you’re a volcano
When you’re spinning out of control
Causing me pain
I know you’re a hurricane
And when you cried
I watched you turn into a mudslide
But I just smile and say
Honey you look beautiful
Because I’m a master
At living with a natural disaster
