Ode to Love Golden
Ode to Love GoldenUpon that eve, twilight shadows did blend,
And heart, enraptured, dreams of thee once more.
In dusk’s soft glow, where day and night contend,
Thy visage fair, my soul shall e’er adore.
Awake, splendor’d dawn; where light, beauty merge,
Soft siren’s song over water’s morning mist.
Emerge, above, above; sea’s unending surge,
Pull my spirit to your Cupid’s sweet kiss.
Sweet lavender rose, a bloom ‘midst old winter’s chill,
Thy scent, fragrance rare, as heather sweet and wild.
In gardens of the heart, it lingers still,
Muse and music, divine; birth nature’s child.
With voice, lyric, melody, on zephyrs borne,
Smooth edges, shards that burn within the breast.
Thy touch, as gentle as the early morn,
Lulls the soul to perfect ease and rest.
In thine embrace, the world itself doth cease,
For in thy arms, I find my only peace.
My night, my day, my love, my guiding light,
Thine eyes, a starry realm, my beacon bright.
Though fear’s hint does haunt fragile hearts, as mine,
And loves press, though sweet, oft a fleeting wine.
But those emerald eyes see a truth so rare,
Love golden, time nor fate, dare not impair.
Beyond moments, cast aside mortal fears,
Within passionate flame that never wanes.
Your essence mine, as I am wholly thine,
Two hearts entwined in love's weightless soft chains.
Winds of fate, blow, bow the mast; they may,
Steady deep, the ship, stays the stormy seas.
Find wrapped in your arms, my course and true way,
Sundials time, and my heart's sublime appease.
After days warm hue, my soul, tender might,
Kiss its whisper’ d end, with soft, cool moonlight.
Dearest love, my world, brim full and bright,
Sweet palette to my dreams, my pure delight.
