Reflex and Reflection
AM, and rolled over to emptiness
no “other” to caress
or kiss
pissed off but miss
What even a gentle touch might do
Perhaps calm the spirit’s constant thoughts of you
once a pillow’s throw away
How taken for granted those
Moments lost forever in rage
We never see it, but in retrospect
that last time together…
