Once There, Now Gone, Didn\'t Die but, Didn\'t Survive

You were once there
Always watching, always protecting
From the monsters in my head or, the ones under my bed
You were always there for me to safely lay my head

But, that was then this is now and for some reason I want to yell
At you or I, I no longer know
But, something I do is that you are now cold

You no longer check under my bed
No longer there when I lay my head

You may not be dead but,
you weren't there mentally to watch me shine

You ask me how was my day but, the first thing I think is to run away
I wish this wasn't true but, sometimes I wonder if I still love you.

I know it's mean, Know it's cruel but deep down you know it's true
You say your sorry over and over but, it's not for me i'ts for you

You have my heart in the palm of your hand
But, you choose to hold it by a thread.
This time when you drop it don't pick it up again.
You lose it peace by peace, inch by inch
But, I can't stand that itch so I hope I lose it when I trip.

Say good bye, say goodnight don't bother stooping by.
