One Life
One life, live it up!
People hate way too much.
When few spread only love,
Loving takes a lot of guts!
Hating is the common way.
People spread hate.
It's this generations black plague...
I live to give and give
Love all others like I want to be!
Get's me treated like sh*t mostly.
Few people come around;
Whose hearts pound so loud you can't drown it out.
I finally know now to self inflict,
These bit*h's who hate ain't sh*t.
Keep the ones who love around.
I made this promise to myself,
only time will truly tell.

This Poems Story
I wrote this during a transitional period in my life. I was hanging around with some shady characters. I allowed them to abuse my kindness, taking advantage of me. I decided at this time to drop those friends to start looking for better friends to associate with. I learned to show myself more respect and love. Resulting in me finding people who respected and cared about me.
