Perception
I met myself in the mirror
and saw not who I am,
but perception.
The illusion of strength,
filtered memories,
and dissociation.
a colorful painting with endless
cool tones
a 3d printed photo,
filled with glued on smiles
and hope,
she saw me too.
looking through me like glass,
with bifocals and warmth.
using my body as though
a looking glass
I never can peer perennial,
for she met me in the mirror
and saw not who she was,
but perception
and saw not who I am,
but perception.
The illusion of strength,
filtered memories,
and dissociation.
a colorful painting with endless
cool tones
a 3d printed photo,
filled with glued on smiles
and hope,
she saw me too.
looking through me like glass,
with bifocals and warmth.
using my body as though
a looking glass
I never can peer perennial,
for she met me in the mirror
and saw not who she was,
but perception
