Power
Why do we fight?
Why don’t we hug and behold the light?
There is one reason
One very selfish reason
While light offers equality and love,
Darkness offers power and riches
And those power-hungry
urchins
beat out the light
the nice
the kind
What is right in this world
And for what?
For power
For greed
For armies up general’s sleeves
For wars without end
For morals to be bent
The nicest
lightest
person can be broken
Why is this darkness
so tempting?
Why don’t we hug and behold the light?
There is one reason
One very selfish reason
While light offers equality and love,
Darkness offers power and riches
And those power-hungry
urchins
beat out the light
the nice
the kind
What is right in this world
And for what?
For power
For greed
For armies up general’s sleeves
For wars without end
For morals to be bent
The nicest
lightest
person can be broken
Why is this darkness
so tempting?
