Recite This to me Again, I Dare You
Our love was like the rust on the knife you stuck to my throat
The words that you wrote
Decapitated my head
Strung it up and showed my friends
You thought it made amends
But I can’t pretend
I can’t stop dreaming of our end
Then every now and then
I dream of us again
You pulled my pants down
In front of the playground
I can fall asleep
And wait to see you creep
In the night
And see this recite
Again in my dreams
And see our love that used to beam
But it’s only in my dreams
That you still destroy me
Because I remember that you were terrible to me
Recite this to me again, I dare you.
The words that you wrote
Decapitated my head
Strung it up and showed my friends
You thought it made amends
But I can’t pretend
I can’t stop dreaming of our end
Then every now and then
I dream of us again
You pulled my pants down
In front of the playground
I can fall asleep
And wait to see you creep
In the night
And see this recite
Again in my dreams
And see our love that used to beam
But it’s only in my dreams
That you still destroy me
Because I remember that you were terrible to me
Recite this to me again, I dare you.
