You were there for me when I was at my lowest
You held my head up when I was sad
You were my everything
You left to go and do a sale for your mom
but you never returned to me or the kids
we waited long hours to hear from you
then finally the call we were not expecting came threw
your mom came to me and said you were never coming home
I dropped to my knees and begged God to bring you back to me
but he would not let me have you back
Are kids cried there selves to sleep that night
as I sat on the bed and waited for this nightmare to go away
I waited for the door to open to hear you say hey mami
but the door did not open and I never herd your voice again
after that night everything had changed I was never the same
I struggled trying to deal with all this pain
I think about you everyday and that will never change
the kids ask about you all the time
when it storms they say that's daddy
and it breaks my heart even more
I cannot move on in this life without
as things will never be the same
I try to stay strong and listen to are favorite song
but things have completely changed not for the better
nor for the worse
more for the fact I'm going insane and your not here to hold me down
I just hope and pray that we will be together again and be happy
but right now I'm doin my best to keep you in my mind
and never forget you and I promise till my dying day
