Shower Thinking
My head isn’t on straightHow am I suppose to know my fate
Living my life or is life living me?
Standing straight looking at who to be
Why get out of here, the best part of my day
Nothing gets better, I’ll just hit the hay
I need money to live in this obtuse life
Entering society with continued strife
Steam is rising and the mirror’s fog
I’ll be productive and go for a jog
How long have I been in here, I fear
My nostrils are clear and I’m ready for
my shower beer

I’ve learned that everytime I step into the shower, I let the steam take over and appreciate the essence and beauty of no distractions. I have a clearer mind to think, pray, and understand what the day has for me. If I have a long day where it feels like I will not have a moment for myself, I know I will always have a moment in the shower where I can self reflect and prepare for each day.
