Sink
I am more sunken ship than I am girl.My caverns are full of a heavy darkness
That scares off even the most heroic divers.
I creek in the night,
Full of screams of memories.
Nightmares haunt my desolate cabins,
And I am not so blessed as to touch the light of day.
I have sunk so deep,
I nary am in human company.
But an ocean man came to visit me.
He is not like the others,
Cowardly and cold in my obscurity.
He isn't afraid of my dark.
He isn't bothered by the nightmares.
He soothes my shudders in the dead of night.
I fell in love with an ocean man.
So, a sunken ship I will no longer be.
I will be free.
I will dance to the surface of the salty sea.
I fell in love with an ocean man,
Now an ocean girl I will be.
