Skin

Why judging my skin?
My skin doesn’t talk
My skin doesn’t think
My skin is the blanket of my identity

The color of my ancestors
The mark of my history
The symbol of my dignity
The shade of my beauty
The depth of my emotions
The richness of my personality
The source of my power
The challenge of my struggle
The triumph of my victories
Hidden in my own mysteries
The pride of my identity
My culture and its diversity
The glory of our humanity
The gift of our creator
Yes, black is my skin
