Slow Motion Suicide
Why are people shocked when the boy next door was hanging from a beltDue to the suppressed emotions he felt?
We are all doing up that buckle around our own necks
Inside we are emotional wrecks
But our belt is the shit we eat
To help us feel complete
It's the poison we drink, to make it harder to think
It's the pills we pop, that we just can't stop
The only breath we take
Is on the end of a stick that greedy people make
It's the job we do but hate
'Cause we're told not to fixate
On our dreams and passions
Otherwise we'd be living on rations
It's the grudge we hold
'Cause we're too proud and bold
To try to understand
And put out our hand
To swallow that pride
And forgive from deep inside
It's our negative attitude
And our lack of gratitude
So what material is your belt made from?
And how many holes is it along?
You see we are all committing suicide
Death just takes a little longer to find
