Sounds of War

Guns are shouting
Hearts are sinking
Freedom is bleeding
The war is coming

Feet running from the sound of war
People screaming and locking doors
The valley is now red
Stained with the blood of many
Hope is leaving the country that we thought was once plenty

Shots echo through these once green hills
Our freedom is leaving day by day
As we fight for our freedom at our own free will
For fear that our enemies will make us pay

The war is ending
Families torn apart
But a new life is waiting
It's like the beat of a new heart
