Tales of Old
Sitting in a circle formed by human wall
Listening to moon light tales,
Tales of ìjapa tiroko(tortoise).
Kids of same age group anticipated this night every morning.
Nights where our grandparent treat us to fairy tales
Nights parents release their child to go listen to stories after supper.
We lived as family
One man’s headache is everyone’s headache
A man’s farm is the determinant of his wealth
Cocoa farmers with the Benz!
These ones scream affluence and wealth
They were uncommon element in the society
When we see one, both young and old stare in self lost.
The girl child dare leave the home half dressed?
The society will stone her rock of words till she stupors and stagger home.
The male is legally occupied, his drive for success is blast
Civilization kicked us in the face!
The rest is history.
