Teach A Child

Kindness to me is thinking of others first
With love pouring out the seems to burst
Where did the world become dark and cold
Decades fly past so quickly we've become old
Our life full of complaints and such a petty fight
Sheltered in a world our kids not at all bright
As we aid in their weakness we feel the need
Instead of teaching anew or planting a seed
What else can be said to the parents of yore
Dumbfounded worst than ever before
Even though we are responsible, are we really
When do we break the cycle and set them free
