Temporary Theft
I’m writing your ghost a letter
As my best friend says “go get her”
But I think replacing you is better
Than acknowledging you’re gone
And right now you’re moving on
I guess I really was your pawn
I wish this pain I could show
I don’t even know where to go
And right now it hurts to know
You’re probably doing okay
I don’t even what to say
I can't keep my feelings at bay
I bottle it up but i’m ‘bout to burst
Why did this happen, maybe it’s a curse
So my feelings I immortalize in verse
But you’re gone, you left
My heart in temporary theft
Now it’s empty weight i heft
As my best friend says “go get her”
But I think replacing you is better
Than acknowledging you’re gone
And right now you’re moving on
I guess I really was your pawn
I wish this pain I could show
I don’t even know where to go
And right now it hurts to know
You’re probably doing okay
I don’t even what to say
I can't keep my feelings at bay
I bottle it up but i’m ‘bout to burst
Why did this happen, maybe it’s a curse
So my feelings I immortalize in verse
But you’re gone, you left
My heart in temporary theft
Now it’s empty weight i heft
