That's What Love Is

Love has been measured
All through time,
From true love's kiss,
To the poet's rhyme.

But love can't be measured
As something you can hold.
Love can't be measured
In silver or gold.

Love is measured
In time and tears,
And trust that's built up
Throughout the years.

Love is knowing, that
When your back is turned:
You can keep on
Going unconcerned.

Love is knowing that
When you're gone,
The loved are still here,
Singing your song.
